Matty's Mob is participating in the DSANV Buddy Walk on Saturday, October 18th in Fairfax, Virginia. This will be our third year - the last two years we raised over $9000. Our fundraising goal for 2008 is $10,000. Please make plans to join Matty's Mob and Buddy Walk with us. There is a lot of activities and events for the kids. We especially need extra walkers this year considering Brian and I are co-chairs of the event:)
I made another video this year - check out what Matthew has been doing........
You can register for the walk here.

One Fish, Two Fish....
We spent last weekend in Pittsburgh visiting family and friends. On Friday we made our annual trip to Idlewild Park where the boys had a great time playing at the water park for a few hours and riding roller coasters and rides in the evening. It was a fun day.

On Saturday morning we had a play date with our friends Marco and Claire from T21 Online who live in the Pittsburgh area. We haven't seen them in almost a year. The kids are all growing up! They had a great time playing together and we enjoyed catching up with Sharon and Holly.

Saturday afternoon, Pap Pap took us fishing at a nearby lake. Nate has been asking to go fishing for a few months. He was very excited to cast his line in the water and watch the bobber. Even better, he caught seven fish! - some with Pap Pap' s help. Nate was a little hesitant about touching the fish but got very excited each time one was on the line. Somehow mommy was stuck with putting worms on the hook and taking the fish off the hook to throw back in the water........eww. Over the last few days whenever we ask Nate how many fish he caught, the number keeps rising. Last night we were up to ten - typical fisherman!
Patiently waiting for a fish

Matthew had the best seat at the lake.

Big Steps towards Walking!
Matthew's physical therapist brought a Gait trainer over last week to try out. Matthew immediately took a couple steps with it and has been practicing the last few days. Sometimes he scoots over to it and uses the Gait on his own without our assistance. He's making big steps towards walking! We are so proud of our little guy.
Check out the video of Matthew on the move. It's a bit comical, he takes a little nose dive (escapes injury) and even tells you how old he is. The big walking part is at the end of the video. Please excuse the limited clothing- he had just finished dinner and dumped a half bowl of cereal down his shirt.
